God created emotions to communicate what is important to us. The writers  of the Psalms authentically expressed a wide range of emotions in their relationship with God. By reading, journaling, and praying through the Psalms, we can bring our own emotions — no matter how challenging — before God, using them as an expression of our faith.

There will be opportunity for show‘n tell for those who have engaged in this practice since personal stories and application of God’s truths are invaluable.

Creative God, Creative You

God created the entire universe and He created us in His image. As His image bearers, our imagination and creative spirit are some of our most sacred gifts. Join me as we dive into scripture and this wild beautiful world to find peace and healing through our creative minds.

We were created to be like Jesus, and God will see us through to perfect us in every way. He is faithful to the very end! But what is our part in all of this? What are we to do? How can we know that we are being made into the image of Christ? God is faithful but we too are called to be faithful; but how, what does God really want from us? I’d like to help you discover what you can do to be faithful: as I share some testimonies from my mission fields of lives that have been completely transformed into the image of Christ.

Put on the Shield of Faith 

Paul rejoiced that the Christians in Thessalonica were growing in faith;  “We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brother (and sisters), as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.” 2 Thess.1:3 – What does it mean to grow in faith? Simply put, to grow in faith means to grow spiritually. Do you feel at times that your faith is weak? Do you see other people and wish your faith was as strong as theirs? Come learn how to grow in faith and to become a pillar of faith to those around you.

Faithfulness Is a Journey, Not a Destination

So much of life is getting from point A to point B as fast as possible. That is not how we were designed. We were designed for relationships, the process, the journey. Faithfulness is not a destination, it is a part of the journey.

Beautiful "Oops"

As the title of a popular children’s book implies, mistakes don’t have to be disastrous. God is faithful to take our “oops” and transform them into something beautiful. In this workshop we’ll take a look at how God worked in the lives of biblical characters and recognize His working in our own lives.

This is a workshop where you can be creative and hand paint on a wooden mountain cut out, choosing your own colors of acrylic paint. Char will also be sharing how she has experienced God’s faithfulness in her own life.
